Women are increasingly present on boards, yet India still lags behind countries with percentage-based quotas. Business Today features insights from our Founder and Managing Director, Mr. Shriram Subramanian, highlighting, “India is one of the few countries where women’s representation on boards is mandated by the regulator. The turning point came in 2017 when the Kotak Committee recommended at least one independent woman director, after it found that several promoter-driven organisations had appointed relatives.”
