Our Founder & MD, Mr. Shriram Subramanian, recently authored an insightful article in Financial Express (India) on the importance of a strong and transparent regulatory environment for India’s space and media sectors. He highlighted that well-designed policies can strengthen investor confidence, broaden access, and help position India as a global leader in these rapidly evolving sectors.

In the article, he highlights the situation of AsiaSat, a satellite partner serving Indian broadcasters for more than three decades, which is facing regulatory delays that could affect its ability to continue services beyond April 2026. This may impact broadcasters such as Star, Zee, and ABP, and consequently millions of households across rural and semi-urban India. He also points out that the contrast with approvals granted to other global operators underlines the importance of consistency and transparency in regulatory processes.

He noted that India’s aspiration to become a hub for the digital and creative economy will be strengthened by frameworks that are impartial, predictable, and globally aligned. He highlighted that policy stability serves as the foundation for sustainable growth, enabling India to build a trusted and forward-looking media and space ecosystem.
