Millions in India struggle to access timely healthcare, particularly in rural areas. Limited infrastructure and uneven distribution of hospitals and medical resources leave large populations underserved and dependent on reactive treatment rather than preventive care.

Our Founder and MD, Mr. Shriram Subramanian, has authored an article in Moneycontrol detailing these challenges. He highlights how nearly 75% of Indians live outside urban centres, yet have access to only a small fraction of hospitals and hospital beds. The article examines how technology, through teleconsultations, e-pharmacies, and integrated digital health platforms, can bridge this divide, enhance access, and establish a continuum of care for patients across India.

He highlighted that e-pharmacies and teleconsultation services are uniquely positioned to extend reach, ensure medicine availability, and integrate local chemists into digital networks. He noted that by combining technology with trust and clear regulation, India can move from fragmented, episodic care to a proactive, prevention-first healthcare model. Furthermore, he noted that when digital platforms and neighborhood pharmacies collaborate, they can deliver care without borders, lower costs, and ensure that no patient is denied treatment due to location.
